10 Facts About Me

September 05, 2016 0 Comments A+ a-

Before we start I just want to say, WELCOME TO MY BLOG!!! I'm honestly so happy and proud of myself for doing this. After many prayers and a lot of doubts - it's here! This going to be so crazy.

#1: I am Nigerian but I was born and raised in London.

Big up to all my Londoners reading!! So I am Nigerian and Yoruba (one of many tribes in Nigeria - yeah, that's a thing). I'm not fluent at all but I can understand parts of it. However, I was raised in London but I really would like to move when I'm older.

#2: I HATE with the biggest PASSION ketchup.

I legit can't and won't eat ketchup. I don't like the smell or the taste. I hate when it goes on me. Some of you may just not fully understand it but, I don't know, LOL, I just hate it.

#3: The only magazine I read is black beauty magazine.

I am definitely a reader of fiction but when it comes down to magazines - that's a straight nah. I used to love reading mags but I just stopped.  Maybe I'll start reading more as I grow with this blog hopefully. But black beauty magazines is the only mag that I actually read from start to end. My mum is subscribed so I just read when it when it gets delivered.

#4: I've been listening to Nicki Minaj since I was 10 years old.

"No am not lucky, am blessed. Yes!"
"Come fill my glass up a little more."
"I'm pouring out my heart oh boy!"
"Cause I win the gold like Gabby."
Straight A Barb guys, straight A Barb...

#5: I'm currently doing my GCSE's

Anyone who lives in the UK just knows exactly what that is. GCSE's are basically a set of exams which get graded at the end of secondary school and help you get into college. They're long, they can reduce you to tears and just cause a lot unnecessary wahala (stress). I will be definitely telling some stories, how to deal with all that aggro and how to stay alive. <3

#6: I love all things nails.

I actually started doing nail art at the age of 11-12. For Christmas that year I got a nail art tool set and a set of polishes and ever since then it was YouTube Tutorials, being yelled at for wearing nail polish to school and keeping my claws on fleek.

#7: I have commitment problems.

Don't worry you guys, I do plan to be committed to this blog because it's something that I've thought about and knew I could do. Plus I did Wattpad before this so I got a lil' bit of experience. But you guys, no joke - I have commitment problems. It's actually sooo bad. I can honestly sit here and go on and on about the sports I have left because I wasn't committed to it. Word of advice - commit to what is good for you. Family, sports, friends - because honestly, my commitment issues have struck me in the backside and now I'm paying for it. More will be explained on this blog in future.

#8: I don't do best friends.

Either they don't work, it doesn't last or life happens. *shrugs shoulders*

#9: I started growing my hair back in 2013, like actually taking care of it.

I started my healthy hair journey in 2013, would love to properly blog about it in future because that journey has impacted me in various ways. It honestly has opened my eyes to societies beauty standards and it taught me, BY FORCE, to love my hair and myself.

#10: I am so sensitive but I don't show it.

I think if I do show it, I react petty to whatever situation that caused me to be upset and sensitive. Constantly being told I need 'thick skin' or 'shrug things off' is hard because its like, but how?! Honestly you guys, I have an attitude but a good heart. And when deep down you're a sensitive person, you can't allow people to say certain things because you know it can affect you negatively so therefore you catch an attitude, be a savage or be #PettyWap.

Thank you guys so much for reading! Writing this, I can feel the commitment already but I got faith you guys, I can do this because this is what I want. Stay blessed!
